Hotel Drei Kronen

We booked six rooms for fifteen people on September 30th, for the night of November 22nd to November 23rd, and got an immediate confirmation. Then, on November 16th, an email arrived saying the booking couldn't go ahead. They offered no alternative.

They charged me twice for the same night and room, once through booking com and once in cash at the hotel. It's been a month and they still haven't sent my refund. I've contacted them several times, and I'm tired of chasing this.

The bed was cozy and the price was good, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is noisy, though, and the room needs some small repairs and a better clean. The neighborhood is a lively Turkish street. A few things need attention: the hair dryer falls off the wall, the bathroom vents are dusty, and the shower glass was dirty when we arrived. A window pad would help. I also found long black hairs on the floor, and the headboard was very dusty. Four mirrors would be less useful than a coat rack, and there was no do-not-disturb card on the door.

For 45 euros I got a two-room suite instead of a single room, and they let me check in at 9 in the morning rather than 2 p.m. The rooms were big. The style is from the 80s and it's in the Muslim quarter, but it's very close to the railway station and the center. There's also a beautiful Moroccan restaurant right next door. Cheap and pretty good.
