Hotel Specht

Hotel SPECHT is right in the city center and felt like great value for the money. The rooms were warm and clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast was tasty. Highly recommend it!

There’s a large gym, and breakfast included a good range of different dishes. The hotel was very good, clean, and spacious.

After a six-hour trip, I arrived late at night at the exact time I’d confirmed with the hotel earlier that day. I’d booked that very morning, too, so I was shocked when the young man at reception told me they were full. I had a confirmed reservation and had sent my arrival time, but apparently they’d given my room to someone else. The receptionist showed no empathy and offered to find me “another solution” at my expense. That turned out to be a room miles away for €125, compared with the €58 I’d booked for. They discarded my reservation and expected me to pay for their mistake. I was left scrambling for somewhere to stay after a long journey, and this was a complete disaster. Book somewhere else unless you want to risk being stranded and paying double.

We had to leave a €200 deposit, but when we went back to claim it, nobody was at reception. We had a flight to catch, and I never saw that €200 again.
