Being right across from the main central station made getting around so easy, and the Christmas market was nearby too. We had a comfortable room with enough space for two, and check-in went smoothly. They even let us check in early, which was a nice touch. The heater and air conditioning didn’t work very well, but we still had a great stay and would recommend the hotel.

Being just across from the HBF is hard to beat, and the reception is staffed around the clock. Great service and good value for customers. 👌

Mithaq made the stay fantastic. He was so warm and attentive, and that service really stood out 🤩. The room was comfortable, the internet worked perfectly, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The hotel is in a really convenient spot. Highly recommended!

Apart from the bar staff, the hotel was very good. They weren’t the best, and one asked us for 2 euro for himself if we wanted a drink.

There were a lot of other Intercity guests in the same situation when I reached the replacement hotel, so this clearly wasn't an isolated case. I had booked Intercity Hotel Dortmund two months ahead, but after a four-hour journey I arrived just after 22:00 and was told a technical issue had left the hotel overbooked. They put me in a hotel in Bochum and said the taxi ride would take 15 minutes. It took 30. Getting back from Bochum to Dortmund the next morning took 50 minutes in normal traffic. With a Champions League match in Dortmund that night and hotel prices tripled, the timing of this “technical problem” is hard not to question. A booking made months in advance should be dependable, but this one wasn’t. Very disappointing, and I won’t book Intercity again.
