Hotel Am Terrassenufer

There was plenty of daylight in the room, and the views from the floors were lovely. The hotel sits on a spacious plot beside the Elbe River, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Even so, the central part of Dresden is close enough to reach on foot, and there's a supermarket and small shop nearby. My room was especially comfortable and roomy, more spacious than what I've found in many hotels. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff treated me kindly and were both friendly and professional. Hotel Am Terrassenufer is a place I'd recommend to other travelers.

The breakfast buffet was among the best I've had at a hotel. It was served in a pleasant room, with the option to sit outside in the garden. They also left a complimentary bottle of mineral water in my room each day, which was spotless. The hotel is across from the river, within easy walking distance of the Altstadt and the river cruise ships. At night, I had a great view of the city from my room. There isn't hotel parking, though there are lots nearby.

We had to sleep with the windows open because there was no air conditioning, and the bridge noise came right in. The rooms have nice views of the river and city, and the hotel is well placed by the old town. The decor feels a bit old-fashioned. Breakfast was good.

The staff were friendly, the room was cleaned daily, and breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean and large, and the stay felt relaxing. The old market and main tourist sights are about a 12-minute walk away, with the Albertinum even closer. I'd recommend this hotel for groups and holidays.
