Really nice apartments, kept very clean and in good shape!

The rooms are tastefully furnished, and the staff were attentive and very friendly. Parking was easy, too. It’s a lovely spot right by the Elbe River. We’d be happy to come back.

The room itself was modern, clean and attractive, and the small kitchen was well equipped, though it had no little stove, so we couldn’t make eggs for breakfast. The location is worth checking on a map: it’s beside a busy street, tram line and constant traffic jams. We felt like the tram was going right through the apartment. Our stay was spoiled by the dog charge. We booked through booking, where the homepage showed a dog paw icon for pets allowed. We arrived with our dog, who weighed under 6 kg, and at first everything seemed fine. My mother was with us in the apartment next door. On the third day, an email demanded €25 per day because the dog hadn’t been registered. We were told to leave cash with the key cards in the mailbox on our last day. We were shocked and tried by email to reach an agreement with the property manager, but got nowhere. The Schillergarten Apartments' legal notice said, “Dogs are not allowed.” This is a serious error on the homepage. The online registration wouldn’t let us register a dog either, so we felt trapped. At our request, we received an invoice for €125, described as a penalty for five days with the dog.

We loved the atmosphere and the location. You can go straight out to the Elbe River, and one of the town’s nicest beer gardens is only a short walk away. Five stars from us.
