We were welcomed so warmly, and our place under the roof, room 9, had a lovely balcony where we could unwind in the evenings. The apartment is a short walk from the Blue Wonder bridge, with the S-Bahn, shops, restaurants, and Elbe Cycle Path all close by. It made a great base for seeing Dresden. We’ll most likely book here again if we come back.

We never got to experience the accommodation because an unexpected event, the problems that followed, and a hospital stay meant we had to cancel. We were told the cancellation charge couldn’t be waived. Of the €222.60 we paid in advance, only €12.60 is left after a €210 fee. We find that utterly inflexible and lacking empathy, especially since the apartment surely wasn’t going to sit empty. It feels outrageous and focused only on profit. Our message hasn’t been answered, and we’re still waiting for the €12.60 refund. Very disappointing. We definitely won’t recommend this place.

Parking is available, and public transport stops very close by, making Dresden’s sights easy to reach. This small guesthouse is spotless and lovely, tucked away on a side street in Blasewitz. Schillerplatz and the Blue Wonder, the Loschwitz Elbe Bridge, are nearby.

We stayed in a really nice holiday apartment for five nights, and there was space to store our bikes. It’s a handy starting point for rides along the Elbe, whether you’re heading toward Saxon Switzerland or into the city.
