Hostel Mondpalast

There was always tea or coffee around, someone to chat with, or a suggestion if you couldn't decide. The kitchen has what you need to cook for yourself, and the shower was even better than mine at home. Great drinks, easygoing friendly staff, and a really good atmosphere.

Fabian was especially welcoming and lovely to deal with. The kitchen is decent enough for whatever you need to cook, and the rooms are tidy and clean. The location is convenient too. I'd absolutely come back.

The bathrooms and showers were clean, and I found parking about 250 meters from the hostel. It cost €6 for 24 hours, though I believe weekends are free. I came by car, and the place is also very close to Dresden's center, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The room was solid, with good beds, including double beds that didn't creak. In short, a good hostel. I'll add a few photos of the room and the view from it.

I felt safe the whole time, and the location worked perfectly for me since I had my bike. I cycled around the old town, the city, and the river, and also just wandered. Everything was clean, with a nice kitchen and bar downstairs by the entrance. My bed was comfortable enough, though there were no privacy curtains, and the rooms have large lockers. I was on the first floor, where there were mixed and women-only bathrooms, plus separate men's and women's showers. Check-in staff were efficient and friendly. Definitely somewhere I'd stay again.
