Premier Inn Dresden City Prager Straße

We needed a simple overnight stay with the family and booked through booking.com. The rooms suited our kind of trip, were clean, and had both a bath and shower. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee, and breakfast had everything we needed. Check-in was easy, checkout is at 12, and I liked the idea of having reception on an upper floor. Public transport is just a two-minute walk away. One nice surprise: the prepaid booking and actual price differed by 1€, and they refunded it to my credit card. I wouldn't even have noticed the difference. Great value for money. 🤩

We were there for three nights in December 2024, right during the Christmas market, and could get around Dresden on foot with no trouble. The hotel is near the main train station and historic center, with a big shopping mall full of restaurants and stores right across from it. The markets were only a few steps away, which felt magical at that time of year. Breakfast was one of the best parts, tasty and with lots of buffet choices. The reception staff were polite and helpful, too. Our room was compact but practical, with a kettle, tea, coffee, and a TV that worked. It was tidy and cozy, and the bed was comfortable. I especially liked being able to see the mall and its shops from the window while lying in bed. A handy, comfortable base for exploring Dresden.

The staff were really nice, and breakfast had lots to choose from. Our clean, comfortable room had a great bathroom and shower, and the free Wi-Fi worked well. The location was pretty good too, around a 10-minute walk to the centre. Everything was great!

An emergency meant I needed to move my booking to different dates, and I was willing to pay any price difference. I didn't ask to cancel. I tried several times through the booking.com app and by email, but all I got back was that I'd have to pay the cancellation fee. There appeared to be availability on the other dates, yet Booking contacted them and got no response either.
