Hotel Restaurant Jägerhof

I won’t be coming back. The rooms have paper-thin walls: someone returned after 1:30 in the morning and talked loudly for at least an hour, waking us up. There was no phone in the room and no way to alert reception, so I had to wait for them to quiet down. The decor was very sparse, with horrible “Soviet prison” lighting. There wasn’t a water bottle, fridge, or anything like that. The pillows looked old and were lumpy, and the towels were poor quality. At check-in around 7pm, the man at reception seemed unpleasantly surprised to see us. The woman who came afterward was a bit friendlier, but still scolded us for being late. It’s also a restaurant, and all they had to do was hand over the keys. Why is 7pm on a Saturday late? There were a few good points: the room was a comfortable size, as was the bathroom. The shower had excellent water pressure and temperature, there were enough towels, and it was easy to adjust the room temperature. The bedding looked clean, and oat milk was available at breakfast. Breakfast itself was just okay: the orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed, there was no water, and the eggs tasted strange.
