Hotel St. Georg

I chose this place because of its refund policy, then had to cancel when my plans changed at the last minute. That was over two months ago. I’ve called and emailed several times without getting any reply, and I still haven’t received a refund. It’s been really frustrating and unprofessional.

I stayed one night in December 2024 while attending an exhibition in the city. It’s listed as a three-star hotel, and that seems fair. My single room was clean and nice, and ideal for a short visit. Breakfast is served in the reception area, with a nice selection to start the day, and the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. The central location is great, close to bars, restaurants, and a tram stop. Getting around is easy, and it’s about 20 minutes to the Messe / Arena. If you want a clean, simple, well-located hotel at a good price, this is one.

The breakfast was a real highlight, everything was fresh and tasty, and the staff kept the buffet neatly stocked. The young employees were especially friendly and made the mornings nicer. The hotel is right in the middle of things on the main street, but we slept well and the noise wasn’t a problem. Our room and bathroom were clean and fresh, and the room was good for the price. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it in Düsseldorf.

If you're coming to party, St Georg is a great fit. You're right in the middle of the Altstadt, with 230 bars on the doorstep, so of course there’s noise, though it didn’t bother me. I was too drunk to care! The staff were welcoming and really helpful. It might not suit a young family, but I’ll definitely come back.
