The location was good and the price was low, but choosing this hotel completely spoiled the Christmas market experience. We'd only seen mixed reviews and hoped for an okay stay, but the problems started before we even got inside. Don't come by car: the parking lot was so full of trash and empty boxes that we couldn't drive out. I can't fault the staff, though they seemed as eager to be there as I was, if not more so. Our double room barely had space for one person. There was just one charger by the bed, and the bed was clearly a couch. It was sort of clean, but the bedding had someone else's hair on it, and I wouldn't have wanted to use the bathtub. The toilet door wouldn't lock and stayed slightly open, which made for a rather romantic experience. Checkout was at 11, yet at 10 a cleaning lady woke us by knocking until we opened the door. Why? I didn't take a room photo, but I did get a video of us trying to get out of the parking lot.

We were uneasy after reading the bad reviews, but the stay turned out better than expected. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Refurbishment is clearly underway, and the new reception area looks very nice. My only real complaint was that the hotel didn't offer breakfast. Maybe that will change once the work is finished.

The website never said the hotel was being renovated, and as people just passing through town, we had no choice but to stay. For €70, the condition was disgraceful. The reception was under construction when we arrived, with fresh cement on the floor that got us dirty just walking around. The place was poorly maintained and dirty: the shower handle was broken, the beds shifted whenever we sat on them, and the cleanliness was terrible. At 9 a.m. we were made to wake up and leave the room, with no respect for guests. I would've been more comfortable sleeping outside. I have photos showing the actual condition. I expect a refund or at least some kind of commercial gesture. Avoid this place!

The location is good if it suits your needs, and the price is low. Still, the room had an unpleasant sweetish smell, and there was some kind of liquid residue on the inside of the window. I also found a used condom under the bed. It was noisy enough to hear people in nearby rooms and outside, even snoring. As of autumn 2025, construction was going on, sometimes well into the night.

For €34 a night I had a single room with its own bathroom, and everything was clean and fairly modern. It's a good budget option if, like me, you don't want to share a hostel with strangers. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the central station, and the front desk staff were friendly and gave clear instructions. Shoutout to the young bearded man with long hair! There were a few small issues. The bathroom door needed a bit of force to shut, and mold at the bottom of the shower curtain should've been an easy fix. Housekeeping seemed disorganized: they came twice on my first day but left the used towels, so I had two sets, then didn't come at all on the second day. It was confusing, but nothing serious. The hotel is being renovated, though they kept the drilling noise to a minimum. There was a light switch and power outlet at the head of the bed, which was handy. No shampoo, but there was soap and a hair dryer. Also, the booking site says the €100 damage deposit has to be paid by credit card, but you can leave it in cash. This isn't a five-star hotel, but I felt I got my money's worth.
