Messezimmer Stockum

I’ve stayed here several times during trade fair periods and have been delighted every time. The rooms have charming, modern furnishings, and the staff are always available if I have a question. The guesthouse is right next to the exhibition center’s east entrance, and the Merkur Arena is a four-minute tram ride away.

The Messe/Merkur Spiel Arena is close by, which made the location really handy. The rooms are small, but fine for a short stay, and we got a warm welcome and help finding our room when we arrived.

The best part is being able to walk to the fairgrounds in under five minutes. That saves you from paying for an expensive taxi, so even with trade fair prices being higher everywhere, this place feels like good value. I expected a clean, decent room near the Düsseldorf Trade Fair, and that's what I got. It's no luxury hotel, but the welcome was warm and the place was tidy and quiet. There are lots of places to eat nearby, plus a wine shop next door, and the free Wi-Fi was fast enough for work. I’d forgotten my hairdryer, and they brought one up in under five minutes when I asked. A lot seems to have been renovated recently, too, so nothing felt dated. Highly recommend it.

I wasn't allowed to check in when I arrived, and the woman there was very unfriendly. I didn't get a warm welcome at all. She said there was no room for me and that everything would change on Sunday (AfD). Not recommended!!!
