I left this experience with a very negative impression of the landlord’s customer focus. We never got to see the accommodation, so my review is only about the landlord. We received an offer, asked in a neutral way how the price would be calculated, and got the understandable reply, “supply and demand.” We were given two months to think it over, but when we followed up, the landlord withdrew the offer straight away. He emphasized that other people were interested in the accommodation, and that seemed intended to put pressure on potential customers. He already had enough buyers, apparently. After reading the landlord’s response, I want to add a few things. My review describes my own interactions and isn’t an attempt to dictate how someone runs a business. I understand that prices may go up during trade fairs when demand is higher, and that supply and demand are standard in business. I appreciated the honest explanation. But I found it inappropriate that your email mentioned anger management issues and suggested I wasn’t using my real name. Personal attacks don’t help when someone is trying to have a transparent, open and honest conversation without being judged. You might want to think about how you handle these exchanges online. An unprofessional tone could hurt your reputation, and perhaps you should address the anger management issue and learn more about media literacy.

Everything went really quickly and smoothly, and I had all I needed. My room was in the basement, which was pleasantly cool.
