Berolina Haus

There’s no elevator, so you have to carry your bags up the stairs, which can be inconvenient if they’re heavy. The room itself is very small, with little room to move around, and seems better suited to sleeping than spending much time in. It has a bunk bed for two people, one bed above the other, with each bed intended for one person. With the compact space and the bunk setup, it can feel cramped, especially when both people have luggage. It’s a basic, budget-friendly option that works for a short stay, but not if you want much comfort, space, or easy access.

Ew, ew, ew! Such a bad experience. The place was extremely dirty, and the website pictures felt completely unreal. My room was on the 4th floor and there was no elevator, so I had to haul both heavy bags up the stairs. There was lots of noise inside the hotel at night, and between the dirt, smell, and noise, I barely slept an hour. If I could, I’d give it zero stars. I definitely don’t recommend it at all.

I was wary after reading the negative reviews, but honestly, it was great. First I checked for bed bugs, and the room was completely spotless. The location is absolutely perfect, with an s bahn and a metro within walking distance. The rooms themselves are fine, though I got the impression they may be a bit understaffed because I saw quite a few open rooms waiting to be cleaned.

The shower gel was empty, and the room key was really tricky to use and needs replacing. The floor had dust and sand all over it, and the bed and pillow covers hadn't been cleaned properly.
