Guesthouse AirMinis

A clean, no-frills hotel close to dusseldorf airport.

Clean and practical place, right on the tram line to the Messe.

We came with colleagues for a business trip and needed to be near the airport. We'd booked six rooms at the Wartburg Hotel, then were moved to this hotel the day before arrival, supposedly because it was more family-run. In its current state, I wouldn't stay here again. In hindsight, we should have picked somewhere else. For the price, I expected a basic level of cleanliness. The first room was filthy: dirty bed linens, a broken toilet seat, and completely empty soap that looked dried out and had been empty for days. The room smelled of sweat, as if it hadn't been aired in days. The second room was cleaner, but the toilet still had streaks, and the shower soap was empty, with residue left in the bathtub. A hotel's age has nothing to do with whether it's clean. Even an old, run-down place can be kept clean, especially at these prices. Management should reconsider this approach. The whole thing really annoyed me. We had an early flight, so booked without breakfast, but were charged the same price as guests with breakfast even though we'd specifically asked about it. Unbelievable. And I won't even get into the nonexistent parking or the closed underground garage. I absolutely can't recommend this place.

We stayed three days and had a good time. The staff were always friendly, our room was very clean, and the airplane noise was hardly loud at all. Breakfast was perfectly adequate for this category. I don't understand all the negative reviews. We'll be back! ☺️
