Holiday Inn - the niu, Tab Dusseldorf Main Station by IHG

The rooms had everything I needed, and the staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, but I left the hotel at 06:30 on Sunday and couldn’t get an apple or coffee to take along because I’d miss breakfast. It’s a shame there’s no mini breakfast box for early departures. The hotel is close to the underground and main station, but it’s on the wrong side of the station for me. The people hanging around at night aren’t my type, and you have to deal with druggies and drunks.

The room was comfortable, with a cosy armchair, tea, coffee, a kettle, and an iron and ironing board. It was -2 outside while the room was around 23. The bathroom alone was bigger than most hotel rooms. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were new, clean, and large. There’s self-service check-in, with reception available if you need help, plus a bar and meeting areas in the lobby. The hotel is 500m from the central train station. Previous comments about the temperature must be fake, or management took them seriously and fixed the issue. If there had been a bottle of water in the room, I’d have had nothing to criticize.

We’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express Düsseldorf twice now, and this visit was just as great as the first. The room was bright and super clean, and the whole reception team was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Elham Farzi deserves a special mention for her kindness and warm hospitality, she really made our stay special. We’ll definitely return, and I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The area was calm, and the hotel is within walking distance of the main station. The room was nice and clean, but check-in was unnecessarily difficult and had to be done by self-check-in. Breakfast was very crowded. We managed to find a table each time, but the queues were long and it was sometimes almost impossible to move around where the food was served. The food quality was OK, though I was surprised there was no bacon.
