We stayed one night for a visit to Düsselsorfer Weihnachtsmarkt. It's good value, and the tram makes it easy to get to the city center. The night receptionist was very helpful and friendly. We parked behind the hotel, and if no spaces are free, street parking is possible too. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK-ish, but the room was too small and we couldn't find a table, so we had to come back half an hour later. There were no eggs left, and staff said they didn't have any more. They seem to struggle with the crowds.

The room suited me well as a solo traveller, and the price was very reasonable for this area. Breakfast was included, quite basic, but at least it got the morning started. You can also get free coffee or tea from the front desk all day, which is a nice bonus. I had a great stay at Hotel Aleksandra and would highly recommend it if you're in Düsseldorf.

The bungalow at the back of the hotel was beautifully quiet and cosy, and I absolutely loved it. The room had a wardrobe, shelves, plenty of power sockets, bedside tables, and a writing desk. There were beautiful chandeliers throughout the hotel and rooms. The bathroom had an amazing rain shower, a handheld shower, and a bath with a shower attachment. Staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than adequate, though there didn't seem to be any cooked options. When I asked, staff happily offered me a Cappuccino. Great value, with restaurants and green spaces nearby and the Rhein less than 10 minutes' walk away. Just watch out: if you're in the bungalow and the door to the main building is put into window mode, you can't open it from outside and will have to knock to be let in.

For a budget hotel, you get a nice but small room and one towel. You have to pick up any more from the lobby. I didn't see any breakfast. It's quite close to the city center, but there must be better places at the same price or just a bit more.
