Ferienwohnung Hornecker

The apartment had everything we needed for day-to-day life, especially in the kitchen, and the hosts were a lovely, helpful older couple. The regional transport ticket covers the Black Forest area between Freiburg and Strasbourg, and you can park at the local station and continue by train, bus, or tram in Freiburg. With the apartment price included, it’s an affordable option. There were a couple of small bathroom issues for me: the tub can be used as a shower, but felt slippery, and there was no grab bar. Mr. Hornecker said he would install one and get a non-slip mat. The bedroom faces the main road, so close the soundproof windows in the morning if you want to sleep in. Otherwise, it was ideal, and we’d gladly stay again. Five stars!

The owners were very friendly, and there’s outdoor seating in the courtyard with parking right on the street. The apartment has internet, a microwave, dishwasher, and a TV with USB and HDMI. It’s a shame cars drive so fast through the village; I’d prefer a 30 km/h limit.

The booking was simple, and the hosts were very friendly. The bright, nicely furnished apartment is right in the center of Eichstetten, with the bakery, train station, and restaurant all an easy walk away.

A peaceful, well-equipped holiday apartment in a lovely natural setting. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and wants to relax.
