The restaurant was closed due to illness, and with no car and nothing around, we had no dinner there. We had to order a taxi just to get something to eat. The hotel offered no help at all. We took another taxi back after dinner to the standard hotel, "schloss breitenfeld", which isn't a schloss. The photos make it look like you're staying in a castle, but in reality the accommodation is around the corner in a standard hotel, with a view of the castle only if you're lucky. When we got back at 20.55 hrs, the bar was supposed to be open until 21.00 hrs, but the only staff member there said it was already closed. What a letdown. I went to my room and turned in early. This wasn't what I had in mind, and I won't be back to "Schloss Breitenfeld". 👎🫣

There are two buildings, an old one and a castle, but the photos, especially on booking websites, mainly show the castle. Both are in the airport's take-off and landing path. It seems to be a busy airport, so planes made noise all night. In summer, you can't close the windows because the room gets warm. Staff English wasn't easy to understand. I asked for an air conditioner, as shown in the attached photos, but got a small pedestal fan instead. I was told, “We German call it an air conditioner.” 😨😨😶🌫️ The room was in the middle of nowhere and cost a very high price. There was no bathrobe, bath flip-flop, coffee machine, or air conditioner, and the bathroom had plastic glasses. The photos were far from reality. It was a very unpleasant, unwelcoming experience.
