Hotel Claro garni

The only drawback for me was getting there without a car, which I should have checked beforehand. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay. The room was clean and nicely furnished, the bed amazingly comfortable, and I loved the breakfast. You can tell the place is run with care and attention to detail. I’d absolutely stay again.

There was plenty of parking, and the hotel is very close to Munich Airport. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a large bed, and breakfast was delicious. The ladies at reception and in the breakfast area gave us wonderful service. We had a special request to make our stay more comfortable, and they really did everything they could to accommodate us. Thank you very much!

The room was very clean and the shower was nice, but the late arrival came with a few problems. It’s close to the airport. When we got in late, all the lights were off, which felt spooky, so I was glad I wasn’t alone. There’s no overnight concierge, though we could get keycards. As another review mentioned, late guests’ cards are left out in the open. Anyone who isn’t a guest could potentially take them, which is concerning. They need a safer QR code lockbox setup, or even a temporary manual lockbox. When we arrived, there was just one towel and one twin-sized blanket for me and my partner in a double room. I booked through hotel.com, so maybe it was an error on their end. I wasn’t asked if another guest was coming, and it wasn’t clear that linens were only provided per guest. At least leave an extra blanket or pillow in the closet, perhaps sealed if you’re trying to be environmentally friendly. We came in late and had to share one small blanket and one pillow. It also wasn’t clear that breakfast wasn’t included in my booking, either on the website or beforehand. I’d appreciate clearer information up front.

We arrived after check-in, but they’d left our key in a handy lockbox outside. Our basement apartment was great, super clean and spacious, with little chocolates on the pillows. In the morning I locked the rental car keys inside the car, and the wonderful receptionist called a locksmith for us. Breakfast was great and the staff were really friendly. It’s far enough from the airport that planes don’t keep waking you up, but still only about 15 minutes away. Worth staying here!
