We’ll gladly come back, and booking ahead seems like a good idea. The food was generous and very high quality, with quick, friendly service. Prices felt reasonable for what you get.

The restaurant is a handy starting point for walks around Enzklösterle, including routes to the old log-rafting lakes Poppelsee and Kaltenbachsee. The cooking is consistently top quality, and I especially like the Swabian onion roast beef and homemade Maultaschen. Restaurant Waldeck serves regional and traditional dishes, with special food weeks several times a year, including goose during Advent and schnitzel weeks. The chef trained at Traube Tonbach under Harald Wohlfahrt. Service has also been attentive, polite, and very friendly every time I’ve visited.

It was very busy when the four of us visited today, but the service stayed attentive and everything came out pretty quickly. The food was delicious. I’d recommend reserving a table.
