Ibis Budget Muenchen Airport Erding

We’ve stayed at Ibis Budget Munchen Airport Erding twice, once in October when we arrived in Germany and again in February as we were leaving. It’s convenient for both the airport and Munich, and the staff are fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Friends of ours also stayed there when they arrived from Australia and were very happy with the accommodation. We’ve traveled widely, from campgrounds to one through five star hotels, and visited all seven continents over many years. We expect what we pay for. If someone wants five-star accommodation, they should pay for it, and remember the word “BUDGET” in the name. This place deserves better than one star, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for good accommodation, great service, and easy airport access. I can’t understand some of the other reviews; perhaps those guests should look at their own expectations and attitudes.

Something’s been very strange this time. I paid in cash, and they said they’d send the final invoice after checkout, but it still hasn’t arrived.

The bathrooms are ridiculously tiny, even for a budget place. It was good practice for our motorhome, hehe. Breakfast was really poor, though the reception people were quite friendly.

Our room was on the small side but had what we needed, and my 8-year-old daughter especially liked the bunk bed. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, though the selection was limited.
