Stadthotel

Erding was a lovely change of pace from busy Munich, with lots of small shops and a good choice of restaurants. Getting to the train station takes a bit of a hike, though there are buses, and the train ride to Munich is around 45 minutes. The hotel itself is in a very nice location. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with a sitting area and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was typically small, but the water was hot. Breakfast was included and good, though the selection wasn’t as extensive as at some places.

My flight back to Spain was cancelled, so I ended up at this hotel in Erding near Munich airport. The woman managing the place, who I believe is the owner, was very kind and helpful. That was six weeks ago, though, and I still can’t get an invoice. Neither the hotel nor Booking, which handled the reservation, has been able to provide one, even though I need it. This poor service has spoiled what was otherwise a nice stay. If anyone in Erding sees this and would be kind enough to ask the Hotel/Trattoria to answer its emails and send the invoices guests request, I’d really appreciate it.

The staff made the stay, they were friendly and quick to help. The hotel is small and cozy, right in the center of Erding, and the rooms are simple but have what you need. No fridge, though.

I only noticed cigarette smoke drifting up from downstairs a couple of times. Otherwise, the courtyard-facing room was quiet and comfortable, away from the street.
