Best Western Hotel Erlangen

Getting here by car is easy, and you can park underground for a fee. There are also two paid charging spots for electric cars in the garage. The city center is about a 20-minute walk. Inside, it felt bright and relaxed, with friendly staff. Our room was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed: a stocked mini-fridge, kettle, hairdryer, soap, shampoo, and plenty of fresh towels. The bed linen was fresh too.

The breakfast setup has two sides. The front area feels more modern and has a wide range of choices, presumably for regular hotel guests. Tour groups eat in the back, in a room that has more of a cafeteria feel. The selection there is much smaller, but still enough for a decent breakfast. Our twin room was comfortable and well set up, with two separate beds, a large desk, a small fridge and TV, plus a wardrobe and roomy closet in the hall. The compact, modern bathroom had a shower, big mirror, and hairdryer. A pleasant place for a few relaxing days, especially if you want to see the area. Nuremberg is around a 30-minute drive away.

The staff were especially welcoming, attentive, and helpful, and the bar prices were fair. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good amount to choose from. Our room was roomy, clean, and well equipped. We had a very comfortable stay at the Best Western Hotel Erlangen and would happily return.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bread and cappuccino at breakfast were very good. The rest of breakfast was basic, though, with no croissants. The mattress was much too soft, and the shower water stayed far too hot because the temperature control was stuck and wouldn’t adjust toward cold. We were also put in a room with two separate beds, even though we were a couple. My son had the same room in a single room. Our room was beside the dining hall, so it got really noisy, especially late at night, and nobody had cleaned under the beds. Two nights in an otherwise decent hotel.
