We turned up without a booking while touring on our motorcycles, and the staff were helpful from the start. They put us in a huge attic room with great views. The restaurant was lovely and the food incredible. Such a gem to find on our travels.

My family and I celebrate every occasion we can here because we love the atmosphere and the food. I’m vegetarian, and there are always unusual, delicious options for me. The menu is inventive, and everything tastes homemade. I always leave feeling like I’ve tried something I’ve never had before.

We only ate in the beer garden, but it was a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting. The breaded sheep's cheese with the basaltic eggplant was great, and so were the other entrees brought to our table. The food was top notch. Our server spoke English, and English menus were available too.

We came for a birthday party a few weeks ago and were impressed by the food. We had lunch here again today, and it was excellent once more. This is definitely one of our favourite restaurants now.

We liked the Austrian chef/owner's menu so much that we ate here twice while visiting the Franken region in October 2017. The food and service were excellent, and it’s good value for a fine dining experience.
