This year my wife, our dog, and I booked a one-night stopover directly with the hotel. The room was what we expected, and we had another superb dinner and breakfast. The portions are huge, so come hungry, and there are excellent local beers to try. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We first found the hotel by chance in 2018 while staying at a nearby chain hotel, and had a superb meal at the restaurant then. Keep in mind that the hotel and restaurant are closed on Sundays.

The building’s a little old, but the staff’s warmth makes up for it. The hotel is awesome, and having a restaurant next door is a plus. I think the Wiener Schnitzel here was better than the one I had in Vienna. A recommended place to stay if you’re in the area.

Breakfast is included, the staff are friendly, and there’s a wonderful kantine nearby. We paid 76 euros for two rooms through Booking. At that price, I’d give it 5/5 for value.

I didn’t feel I got my money’s worth by the end of the day. The people there weren’t very friendly, and breakfast didn’t offer much variety. You could see the cost-cutting approach in all areas. Overall, I didn’t have a very nice experience at the hotel.

It’s a small hotel on the edge of Erlangen. If you’re visiting the Fair Center in Nuernberg, you’ll need a car. The rooms are small but okay for an overnight stay, and the bathrooms are tight too. A bigger person might have trouble using the shower. Breakfast is okay, though there isn’t much choice in rolls, cold cuts, and similar items.
