Hotel Bommersheim

The restaurant was the standout for me. The menu was a manageable size, the food was amazing, and the service stayed prompt, accurate and friendly even with our group of more than 10. The meats are especially good, and they had some nice wines to pair with the food. The rooms were very nice, staff super friendly, and the price was affordable. I was there for a business meeting and had a visitor stay for a couple of nights. Parking is the drawback. You can't park on the street, and the small drive-in area is reserved for hotel guests. There's a lot on a tiny, easy-to-miss street, with a narrow alley and some stairs leading into the hotel and restaurant. Apart from that, it's a great place and I'd highly recommend it.

My father-in-law recommended the spring roll, and he was right, it was really nice. A little spicy, with an amazing sauce. The apple drink was a hit too. I was here with my family.

Dinner was a very nice meal and the cooking was agreeable, though the steaks we ordered didn't seem to differ between the alleged Australian Hereford and the German cut as the menu described. It also took an hour to be served, which was too long. Breakfast was nice, about 3.5 stars. The rooms in calm Niederhöchstadt, Eschborn were large and clean, but somewhat worn and due for refurbishment. Three stars may be a little low, perhaps 3.5 is fairer.

The breakfast was good, and it’s a cozy little hotel. Just be aware that the restaurant is often fully booked around Christmas because of office parties. Reserve ahead or expect to eat somewhere else.
