The rooms are peaceful and very clean, and the comfort for guests is now at a high level. Renovation and improvements have been moving along quickly and smoothly, not slowly. The owners are friendly, helpful, and understanding when you ask for that extra cup of coffee that isn’t normally available in the morning. What stood out to me was the lively, positive atmosphere in the evenings. The darts players really know the rules and fit together well as a group, competing calmly and happily. Even if you’re not a darts enthusiast, you’ll be in good hands as a guest among them. That was my first impression. For travelers, this affordable, well-kept hotel is a convenient place to take a break just outside Aachen. It’s right next to the main train station, and there’s plenty of parking with easy access from the surrounding streets. I enjoyed my stay and will absolutely be back.

We had to drive to the hotel twice just to check in. No one answered the bell or phone, and it took an hour for them to call us back. The room itself was nice, but the shower was clogged and leaked water toward the toilet, so we had to mop up quite a lot with our towels. The bar stayed open until 3:30 a.m. and was extremely loud, which made sleeping impossible. At €100 a night without breakfast, even with a dog, it felt too expensive.

For the price, this is a good place to stay for a few nights. The room looked newly renovated and was clean, and the shower room was well looked after. The wooden stairs behind the house are tricky, especially the bottom two steps ☺️ There wasn’t much general information or signage, such as about breakfast availability and hours or checkout time. A coffee machine would be nice. I’d also like the option of an extra mattress topper to soften the bed, even for an added fee 😉

Service was basically nonexistent. The rooms were plain and functional, and reasonably clean, but some things need fixing. The door handles and locks should be replaced since you could loosen the screws by hand. The pillows and blankets could use replacing too. You can hear every train from the station nearby, even with the windows shut. Breakfast was very disappointing, and making an allergy-related request meant contacting the staff. Given the choice, I wouldn’t stay here again.
