B&B BonnaNotte

The smell in the basement room was overwhelming, and the damp and mould were hard to ignore. Even my three-year-old wouldn’t use the duvet because it smelled too bad, so we covered her with clothes and towels instead. The bedding had the same mouldy, musty smell. Avoid room 15. The location was good, access at night was easy, and the staff were friendly. If we’d arrived earlier, we would have switched hotels.

My room was so loud that it vibrated whenever a train went past, and I won’t stay here again. The breakfast was rubbish: we had to ask for eggs and got only one each. Everything also felt very cheap, from the furniture and food to the quality. Of the 16 TV channels, three didn’t work and the rest weren’t ones anyone really watches.

The rooms were clean, bright, and homely, and our two young children felt very welcome. The staff were extremely friendly, and breakfast was relaxed with a good selection. There’s free parking all around the hotel, and it’s under a 15-minute drive from sealife, LEGOLAND, and centro shopping mall. There’s no lift, though, and we had to lug travelcots and bags up the stairs to the top floor. Even so, I’d highly recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was simple and delicious, though it could use a little fine tuning and a few extras, like yoghurt. It’s a nice, simple B&B, and everything was okay despite the IKEA furniture showing some wear and tear. The bathroom was fine too, but details need attention, like the black silicone around the shower.
