My stay at NH Essen was excellent. The staff were welcoming and professional, and check-in was smooth. Everything worked as it should, and the property felt new and well looked after. The room was modern, quiet, and spotless, with a very comfortable bed. I had one of the best nights of sleep in years. Cleanliness was consistent throughout, from the lobby and elevators to every corner of the room. The place smelled fresh and gave me real peace of mind. I'd absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone visiting Essen.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel itself was good. But the air conditioning needs real improvement. I was sweating in my room, and it lowered the temperature by only about three degrees. I've never had an experience like that before. For a four-star hotel, this is a problem, and reducing costs this way doesn't make sense when temperature control matters so much to guest comfort.

We came from the Netherlands for my birthday, and the hotel knew ahead of time. The extra decorations and special atmosphere they'd set up in our room were such a lovely surprise and easily the best part of the day. The room was extremely clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We'll definitely come back!

Breakfast had lots of food and drink to choose from, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Service was really good, and the rooms were clean. The location was perfect, close to shopping, the Christmas markets, and restaurants, with parking under the hotel. I can't think of anything bad to say, I'd recommend it to everyone.

A clean, well-kept hotel right in downtown Essen. Our room was practical and had a nice bed, and the staff were very friendly and all spoke English. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice. There's a small parking garage at the hotel, or you can use a larger garage. All in all, a great affordable stay.
