Gasthof Krone Fladungen

Good service and good food in a nice place :)

We were comfortable here and would gladly recommend it. Our cycling group booked a night in Fladungen, and the rooms were clean and nicely furnished with a Rhön feel. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the hotel food, and thought the price-performance ratio was excellent.

There’s a large locked room for bicycles, and drinks are available any time from a self-service station. We stayed in a spacious modern room facing to the side, with comfortable beds and a modern bathroom; it was completely quiet overnight. The hotel, on the Main-Rhön long-distance cycle route, had been fully renovated a few years earlier. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was extensive and tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive. In town, I recommend the newly opened Rhön Museum and the Railway Museum.

There was plenty of parking behind the building, and we were very satisfied with our stay. Our room, number 16, had a nice 1950s style and plenty of space. The bathroom was a good size too, though I found the shower a bit tight at 100 kg and 1.87 m tall. Breakfast was plentiful, and the bread rolls were delicious.
