Adler Hotel Frankfurt

The room was lovely and clean, and from our sixth-floor room we didn’t hear street noise. Inside, this is probably the nicest three-star hotel you’ll find, with attentive, helpful and kind staff. It’s centrally placed, under a five-minute walk from Frankfurt central station, with everything within walking distance. The neighborhood, though, is the worst in the city. It felt sketchy, and even as an avid traveler I thought it was bad. I wouldn’t consider it suitable for families with kids or solo female travelers. If you want a solid central hotel and are prepared to stay aware of your surroundings, especially at night, it’s a good option.

The area around the hotel wasn’t very clean and didn’t feel very safe. The room itself was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Five stars for the quality-price ratio.

The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Check-in went smoothly, and they were happy to share local information and directions. The room was clean, tidy and fairly spacious for the price, and the location is convenient, just a short walk from Frankfurt’s main train station for getting around or catching early trains. There are trade-offs, though. The area is lively, and with poor sound insulation, street noise and sounds from neighboring rooms carry easily. Light sleepers may struggle. There’s no air conditioning, so in warmer months the room can get hot and stuffy, even at night with the windows open. Be cautious in the neighborhood after dark. Frankfurt’s central station district has a reputation for being somewhat unsafe at night because of loiterers and other concerning activity. I wouldn’t recommend walking around alone late in the evening. It’s a budget-friendly, central option with good service, best for short stays if you’re prepared and not too sensitive to heat or noise.

I’ve been staying at Adler Hotel for trade fair visits for three years. The atmosphere is family-like and the rooms are clean. I definitely recommend it.
