Hotel Niederraeder Hof

The hotel is a bit outside the city, so getting back takes a 20-25 minute tram ride or about an hour on foot. Walking along the museum embankment was pleasant, and there are shops and places to eat nearby. My room faced the car park, so it was fairly quiet, and the windows opened a little. I was lucky it didn’t get direct sunlight, since there’s no air-conditioning and it was hot during my visit. The room was a decent size, and the clean bathroom looked more modern than those in some hotels. Breakfast was disappointing. They ran out of bread for toast, rolls, water, and yoghurt. I paid €10 for the first morning, then cancelled it for the second.

The receptionist wasn’t very kind, and the beds were awful. In my room, there was dampness on the bathroom ceiling, and the sound of drops woke me up. Horrible hotel.

The location worked very well, with easy public transport to both the airport and central city. There are shops, cafes, a pizzeria, and düner kebab nearby. The hotel itself is pretty basic, and the room and bathroom are small, but it was fine for me alone. I stayed three nights and the room was cleaned regularly. Staff were responsive, and most also spoke Russian. I’m satisfied and would stay again by myself.

It isn’t very central, but I needed somewhere between the city centre and the airport because my time in town was limited and I had an early flight. There’s a train station nearby, plus lots of small restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood. The room was clean, fairly quiet, and had the basics, nothing fancy. Staff were available at the front desk around the clock.
