Hotel Premier

The reception workers were incredibly nice, kind, and helpful, and I absolutely loved the location. It's just a few minutes' walk from the main train station, handy for the airport, city centre, or walking to the Book Fair expo. I came for the Frankfurt Book Fair and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was quite spacious, with a cozy armchair and a fairly big wardrobe, plus a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee. Check-in is late, at 15:00, and early check-in costs about 20 euros. We were able to get a nice room earlier, but it was on the 1st floor facing the street, where constant trains right in front of the hotel made it crazy noisy at times. After check-out they stored our luggage for free and gave us a numbered paper slip to collect it, which felt safe. The only downside was that the room was too hot. The AC wasn't working properly to cool it and could only heat the room, while leaving the window open overnight was out of the question because of the constant noise.

The breakfast was a real plus, with lots of choice including vegetables, milk, pastries, meat and cheese. Staff were nice, public transport and points of interest were close, and the price felt very good for what the hotel offered. We stayed one night while passing through with our family. The area changed how I felt about staying there. I saw dealers on street corners, including by the parking area and entrance, along with rubbish and many homeless people. They could be noisy, too. Waiting in the car for five minutes before entering the car park brought a lot of looks, and the large iron gate seemed like a quiet response to what was going on around it. An evening run made me even more sure of my first impression. I’ve read that staff are working with the authorities to improve safety. Still, nearby businesses could go bankrupt if these problems aren’t dealt with better and faster. I feel for the hotel management, since the surroundings seem to keep room prices below what the hotel itself deserves. Despite the quality and value, I probably wouldn’t book again, especially with my family.

I’m staying here now, and the room is really cold because the air conditioner isn’t working. I told the receptionist this morning, but it still hasn’t been fixed, so it’s not comfortable at all. There are also a lot of people with addictions outside, and I’m concerned they could be harmful. If you want to sleep, rest, or feel safe, I wouldn’t choose this hotel. There are plenty of other hotels in the area.

The room was freezing overnight because the heater didn’t work. The hair dryer was faulty, so we couldn’t use it, and there was no water in the room. Still, it’s a decent place for a night, close to the central station, with a cozy room and a comfortable bed.
