The staff were friendly and polite, and the hotel is comfortable. Even the simpler rooms have a minibar, while there’s a shared kitchen on every floor. Guests can also use the water dispenser and coffee machine by reception.

The coffee machine in the lobby is really good, and the room has good blackout curtains and soundproofing. But it got too hot inside. There’s no cafe or restaurant nearby, and the room itself has only basic furniture, giving it the feel of an empty office. The hotel is across from the station but a long way from anywhere else. At 10:30 at night, it took me four tries to get the outside door code to work, with no one at the desk to help. Getting the access card was confusing too and took ages.

I stayed here for a full month. The whole building is brand new, and my clean room had new furniture: a bed, sofa, toilet, hair dryer, desk, mini fridge, and two closets. Self check-in was advanced, access throughout the building works by cards generated at check-in, and support is available 24/7. To reach the center, just cross the road and take the U4 or U7, about 12 minutes. The lobby is a pleasant place to sit, with free coffee, tea, and water. Each floor has a kitchen equipped with a microwave, stove, dishwasher, and large fridge. Receptionist Sonja Berthold was always helpful and friendly, ready to answer questions with a smile. Honestly, the quality for the price is 200/100. Give it a try!

My friends and I came for a concert at batschkapp, and the stay was great. The venue is two minutes away, as is the tram stop, so I can see this becoming popular with concertgoers. The room was nice, and the lobby coffee machine made good coffee. The shower drain smelled of mould, though. I’d been concerned by the many bad reviews, but they seemed fake to me. One even told a story about reception stealing someone’s cat. I’d stay here again if I come to batschkapp in the future.
