LUME Boutique Hotel, Autograph Collection

The room and hotel are beautiful, and the team is great. Wi-Fi and the hair dryer were both good. But a lot of little things were off: the showerhead was so dirty that only approximately 30% of the holes let water through. There was no laundry bag or form in my room, no laundry service on the weekend, and no phone to request laundry pickup. On Saturday night, bar music was VERY loud in my room until after 1 AM. Breakfast cost 30euro, so I went to a bakery around the corner.

Breakfast for Marriott status members is served at the restaurant next door. The buffet is ample, and the orange juice is some of the best I've ever had. LUME Boutique Hotel is stylish, well maintained, very clean, and comfortable. The location is moderately good, with many places reachable in a 10-15 minute walk, though it's very close to a red light area, so keep that in mind depending on what you're comfortable with. Service is kind but slow. Since it's a small hotel, expect to wait at check-in. The included minibar is a nice touch, though it only has a handful of drink options. A pleasant boutique stay, with some trade-offs to consider.

The way to the breakfast place felt like a maze. You really have to follow the signs carefully and keep looking for the next hint, which made it quite an adventure. LUME is a real boutique hotel in a German house more than a hundred years old. The best part is that they kept the building's structure intact, so walking around feels like stepping back in time. I stayed in their penthouse, where the wall leaned toward you, adding to that nostalgic feeling.

The interior design alone makes this hotel worth a visit. It's beautiful, quiet, and centrally located, with spacious, very clean rooms furnished nicely and equipped with all the amenities you'd expect from a top hotel. The bar has a cozy feel and nice ambience, and the staff were friendly and approachable.
