Plaza Hotel & Living Frankfurt

After I had to cancel my trip because of a medical emergency, I booked through Expedia, which contacted the hotel. They said they wouldn't charge me anything, but two weeks later they charged me 90% of my stay. When I called to ask why, the person who answered was extremely rude and disrespectful. Don't go here, it's a total dump and the people are horrible.

The location was good, near a tram stop and some restaurants and cafes, and the hotel had good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our spacious room was quiet and comfortable, and the bathroom was the best part, with plenty of space and fantastic water pressure. An ironing device would be nice to have. A small air conditioner in every room might help too. It wasn't very hot outside during our stay, luckily, but the room could have become really hot otherwise.

For around €450, I expected a bit more. The rooms didn't look like the pictures, and the hotel felt very spartan and worn down. The whole place could use an update. I stayed two nights on a business trip. The reception staff were friendly, the bed was comfy, and the hotel is close to the train station and tram. It might be okay if you just need somewhere for one night while passing through, but for a longer stay or a hotel experience, I'd recommend somewhere else.

The parking is super expensive, and several times I waited at least 10 minutes for the gate to open. The staff's behavior was inappropriate and unprofessional. The toilet was dirty, there were insects on the walls, and the filthy carpet looked like it had never been cleaned. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Stay away, there are much better hotels around at the same price. Unfortunately, I didn't know to avoid it.
