The Suite Hotel Garden

The area is fantastic. The city center and nearest station are a short walk away, there are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and the park is right across the road. It’s relatively cheap for the area, though there are a few drawbacks. The apartment walls are paper thin, so you can hear even an ordinary conversation next door. Hope your neighbours don’t play loud music. There were also stains, which looked like bright ink, on the dining table and bathroom wall, and the rooms could have been cleaner. The lift only takes one person at a time. I understand it’s an older building, but that makes arriving and leaving with luggage slower. We didn’t use the onsite spa, so can’t comment on it. Reception is staffed only from 8am to 10pm Monday to Friday; outside those hours you have to call the number on the door. That wasn’t a huge problem, but it did delay checkout a bit.

The location is super central, so everything is within walking distance, and breakfast was great for the price. I asked for a quiet room and it really was quiet. The suite was a proper two-room apartment with one bedroom, plus two flat-screen TVs. Great choice, I think I’ll come back next time.

We’ll be back. It worked really well for our family, including our one-year-old, with a decent kitchen and a good bed. The buffet breakfast was good, and we could take it back to the suite. There’s a Samsung TV you can connect your laptop to, and it’s in a lovely part of town. The one annoyance was having to carry our pushchair to the lift because of renovations.

Laura was the kindest and most helpful host. The suites are spacious and beautifully designed, and there’s a cute little wellness area. Lovely hotel right in the heart of the city!
