Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer

The room was spacious, with lots of room for our things, and the view was great. We even saw fireworks, since it was close to NYE. The staff were welcoming, and the hotel gym was great too. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the main station, in a very quiet location. I kept wondering about the abandoned hotel across the street. The main downsides were the unstable water temperature and a leak in the bathroom.

I couldn’t sleep at all because the room was hot during winter. I was sweating even with the window open and the heater off. The power sockets didn’t work either, and we had to ask staff to fix them. The good breakfast selection and fully equipped gym kept me from giving one star. The toilet was spacious, and I liked the sink. The location was OK, though there’s still some walking to do. It seems like a popular hotel, but I’ve had better stays at intercity near the train station.

What made my stay memorable was the panoramic view of the Frankfurt skyline from my room, along with fresh, delicious food at breakfast. The team were attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly, and made me feel very welcome. I had a fantastic stay and can’t recommend the hotel enough.

Everything else was great, but the heat made the hotel unbearable. Our room was over 25C even with the heat off, the card unplugged to turn off all electricity, and the window open. The lobby was just as bad. I don’t see how the hotel can be ecologically friendly while keeping the whole place like a terrarium. Normal heating and cooling would have made this a five-star stay. I can’t sleep when it’s nearly 80F.
