We liked our one-night stay so much that we drove back a couple of weeks later just to eat here, even though we live on the other side of the country. The Kaiserschmarren was especially yummy, and everything else we ate was great too. Room service arrived quickly, and the kitchen staff were really friendly. The hotel has such a calm, pleasant feel, and everyone was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Our room was clean and modern, and I loved the decor. The spa was lovely, with different saunas, a relaxing area, tea, and infused water. The ceiling lights were a little too bright for me. This is one of my favorite hotels, and we're looking forward to coming back to stay again 🩷

The washer and dryer were a real problem. Washing took more than an hour and a half, and even after starting the dryer several times, it never got hot enough. Our clothes were still damp when we had to pack. Apart from that, we enjoyed Hotel Sonne. The room was clean, the staff were very helpful, and breakfast there in the morning before our trip to Neuschwanstein Castle was nice. We'd highly recommend Hotel Sonne Fussen.

The bathroom setup could be better. There was no bidet or handheld washer for cleaning after using the toilet, which I'm used to having, and the toilet was the only part with a door. I think a door should separate the main sink area from the room, and another should separate the sink from the shower. That said, I really liked the room. It was cozy and spacious, with room for three people and enough privacy, and the hotel and restaurant were very good. The location near the center of Fussen made it easy to get around. The receptionist gave us a map and suggestions for places to eat and visit, and the service from him was so good he ranks among my top five people ever. I didn't give the hotel five stars because the room has a lot of potential. Still, 10/10.

The breakfast buffet was the best I've had. There were lots of ready-made options, all cooked just right, plus an in-house chef who made eggs and omelettes to order. The restaurant and bar were great too. Staff were attentive and very helpful, and the room was comfortable. We asked for firmer pillows because the standard ones were so thin we had to fold them. Our room had blackout sliders all the way across, which made it nice and dark for sleeping. I assume the other rooms have them too.

Leon really made our stay in Füssen memorable. His friendly nature and positive energy stood out, and he went out of his way to make sure things were perfect. The restaurant waiter was incredibly friendly too. Our room was beautiful and very clean, breakfast had a delicious range of choices, and dinner service was exceptional. Everything went beyond what we expected. We'll definitely be back! Mary and Max
