The rooms are actually in the monastery, which is beautifully maintained and still home to monks. Getting down to the city takes a long walk, but it's worth it. The location is perfect, especially with a room overlooking the city, and breakfast is good. By far my favorite hotel in Fulda and the surrounding area. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Fulda.

The views are stunning, and it's a lovely spot to meet a friend for coffee or just sit and think. The church is a must-see, and the garden is beautiful too. The cafe is large and was very busy when I visited.

We attended a conference with our two toddlers, and my husband and I were well looked after. They provided what we needed, so I'd say it's family friendly. It could use more of a playground or something similar for children.

The breakfast is very good, and the place is quiet and spotlessly clean, with a stunning view over the city. It's a great option if you're happy with a simple but very affordable room in the hotel's monastery wing.
