We had clean, spacious rooms at a good price, and the Bavarian food was great. Mr Fellner was helpful with ideas for places to see and things to do, and even lent us bikes to get around. Gasthof Fellner is a good place to stay, and I'd love to return.

We'd looked forward to a cozy Christmas Day dinner, especially after reading the reviews and hearing they had their own butcher shop. Instead, it was a complete disaster. The kitchen was very loud, which killed the cozy mood, and I found it strange that there wasn't even a candle on the table. I tried to overlook that, but the venison roast arrived after just five minutes, which made me suspicious. I was right: we'd never had such a bad one, with about 80% fat. The spaetzle 🙈, the red wine sauce, which I'm still wondering why they called that, and the red cabbage 🙈🙈 were awful too. My wife didn't want me to complain and cause a scene on Christmas, so we went to McDonald's afterward. Even one star feels like too much.

We stayed in the new building, where the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The hosts were lovely and friendly. It had a great inn atmosphere, including a traditional regulars' table that was well attended. Breakfast was very good too, and they even have their own butcher shop next door... 🤗
