We were all happy with our stay. Our group of three had a single room each, though all three rooms were actually doubles, and they were clean and roomy. The hotel sits right by the Weißensee, with convenient parking. Its location near Füssen and the Austrian border worked well as a base for the area. The receptionist was friendly and funny, and wore a traditional Bavarian dirndl, which was lovely to see instead of business clothes. The place had a nice rustic feel and was quiet.

We came for the lake and mountain views, and the spot right beside the Weissensee was perfect for a swim, whether in the morning or later in the day. The owners gave us a thorough rundown of nearby activities and sights when we checked in. Our room had lots of cupboard space and enough outlets for several devices, including three in the bathroom, plus a mini-fridge. We didn't use the TV. The room was spacious and everything was very clean. We brought our own shampoo and soap, since hotel toiletries aren't our thing. Breakfast had a nice range each morning, and the stay was good value.

The breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had plenty of variety. Staff were super kind and all spoke fluent English. The rooms were lovely, especially if you get one with a balcony overlooking the lake. You can also walk to three lakes and a couple of the nearest towns without much trouble. Lovely place.
