Hotel König Ludwig II

We could reserve a parking space in the garage free of charge, and they gave us coffee to go when we left. The family room was very nice and clean, the staff were really friendly, and breakfast came with very nice coffee.

We go back because we can cycle into the centre for the festival, and the hotel offers free bikes instead of servicing the rooms, which works for us. One year we got a huge room, the next a smaller one. It’s a great place off the beaten track, worth the tube ride into Munich to save on Oktoberfest prices. Good breakfast and really nice staff.

Right above a major metro line, with cafés, restaurants and an organic supermarket close by, the location is ideal. The rooms are spacious, spotless, fully equipped and well insulated from noise. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful and multilingual, which I really appreciated. Highly recommended!

The neighborhood was peaceful and charming, and the location made it easy to get around Garching and Munich using nearby public transport. Shops and attractions were close too. Breakfast was a highlight: the on-site restaurant had Bavarian and international food, a varied buffet with options for different tastes and diets, lovely presentation, and remarkable flavors. The restaurant staff were excellent. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, with luxurious furnishings and high-quality linens. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept well after a long day. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive from check-in onward, making me feel welcome and well looked after. I had an exceptional stay at the König Ludwig II Hotel in Garching, Germany. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the facilities and accommodation to the breakfast and service. It deserves its 5-star rating, and I’d gladly return, whether visiting Garching for business or leisure.
