Hotel Asgard

I stayed here twice and would still recommend it. The room was spacious, with big windows and a terrace, and parking was plentiful and free. Reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast included fresh scrambled eggs, cheese and baked goods, and the gym being open 24/7 was great. It even had a sink with soap. There were some drawbacks. At breakfast, the staff were friendly, but I felt watched, and a quiet meal wasn't really possible. My room wasn't cleaned of long hairs on most days, there were no fresh towels for over a week, and it had no refrigerator. I'd still recommend the hotel.

We booked for a group doing communication training and checked in on Sunday evening. There was rubbish in front of a room, and building materials and cables were coming from the roof. It was a big disappointment that nobody told us about these inconveniences when we booked or checked in, and there was no reduced rate. The staff were very helpful, though. My criticism is mainly of the management.

We had beautiful rooms that were quiet and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and saved us from spending a night in the car on our way to Croatia. We called at 21:45 to book and arrived at 23:20. For four people, two double rooms with breakfast the next day came to €172. Highly recommend.

Room 201 had a drainage problem and constantly smelled like sewage or rotten cabbage. I reported it, but they couldn't fix it. When I asked, the hotel had no complaint book, and they offered neither a discount nor a waiver of charges. The rest of the hotel was adequate for a three-star place, and reception staff were kind. But having to sleep for two nights in a room that smelled of feces was inhumane. That's why I'm giving the lowest rating.
