The breakfast buffet was great, and both the hotel and its staff were very good. Dinner was only average, though, and the busy road nearby affected the location.

I had a quiet room on the second floor with a balcony during my four-night business trip. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillows and covers need updating. One pillow was lumpy, another feather one went flat, and the replacement was a strange little foam pillow. I ended up with a sore neck. The breakfast had a very good range of hot and cold choices, and the coffee machine was nice. If you're coming from Frankfurt, the bus from the main train station drops you right there. One note for summer: the listed AC is really just a large fan. I didn't need it, but it's good to know. I'd stay again if I'm back in Giessen.

The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, a great wine list, and probably the best food in town. The rooms feel dated. Some beds are very narrow, and I personally found the pillows too thin and the blankets too small to cover both my feet and chest at once.

The parking area is tiny, and the payment issue was much worse. For months they claimed I still owed money, saying they couldn't charge my card and that the room wasn't paid. I kept getting emails even though I had an invoice and had given them my card number. After I showed proof from my bank, I think they finally stopped contacting me. I never got an apology or even confirmation that the bill was settled and I had no debt.
