Virginia Poidoks and Niklas Häusler were friendly, dedicated, and very capable while helping me research the family name "auf'm Kamp" at the Gladbeck City Archives. They took time with my questions and made the visit a positive experience. Service this warm and helpful is not something to take for granted. My research appointment was on April 16, 2026, and I’m grateful to the whole team. Highly recommended! ★★★★★

The clerk at the public order office seemed to be having a bad day, and my contact with them was extremely unsatisfactory. It’s great when you can’t or won’t really help citizens. But I guess being treated this way everywhere is normal these days. Thanks for that, City of Gladbeck.

The Gladbeck Public Order Office gave me a €25 fine for being 2 meters from a sign. No one was endangered: one person was walking there, and I rolled past slowly with a huge gap. The sign was already at the point where I could drive. What really annoyed me was being accused of arguing and getting upset when I was only explaining my point of view. Meanwhile, I saw other people driving in from the city center who were simply ignored. The employees seemed blind to what was happening and as if they were abusing their position because they think they’re better than everyone else. They should be ashamed.

You’re absolutely the worst. I got a €25 ticket in a NORMAL parking space WITH A PARKING TICKET. Seriously, so incompetent and ridiculous. You must really need the money. 😂
