Apartment Elbe Glückstadt

The noise was a big issue for us. A railway line runs about 30 meters from the bedroom and living room, with regional, IC/ICE, and freight trains going by around the clock, sometimes every 5 minutes. There was no noise protection. The building elevator is in the stairwell right beside the apartment, and the landlord had electronically locked the heating thermostats during our stay, so we couldn't adjust the room temperature ourselves. The apartment is large, on the raised ground floor, and has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom with high-quality furnishings. The market square, restaurants, and harbor are just a few minutes away on foot, while shops are about a 10-minute walk. Parking in the building lot is usually easy, but definitely avoid parking under the trees. The rooms are fairly dark because they face north, and the kitchen equipment, including plates, cups, and cutlery, is pretty basic.
