B&B Hotel Göttingen-City

Breakfast was better than I expected for this kind of hotel, with a limited but varied selection that all tasted good. The place and room are minimalist, modern and neat, and there’s parking inside the grounds for €10. The air conditioning was easy to set, and the room had good ventilation, though it sometimes sounded like an 80s computer game. We could open the window too. The railway runs quite close to the room, but with the window shut we didn’t hear it. Very nice for the price.

It’s near the city center, which is a good location. My room was very small and cold when I was there. The air conditioning ran all night but didn’t warm it up, and the duvet was tiny.

The quiet, green old cemetery right across from the hotel was an unexpected touch of charm, and a peaceful place for a little morning walk. It’s also only a short walk into Göttingen, so I could explore the streets, shops and restaurants on foot. The staff were welcoming, check-in was smooth, and my clean, functional room had what I needed for the night. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh breads, cheeses, fruit and hot options, more variety than I expected for this category. B&B hotel seems a reliable choice for a night or two or a stopover, and I’d happily return.

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was tasty and adequate. Staff were lovely and check-in was easy. The only issue was that the parking lot code should have arrived by SMS before we got there. We had to find street parking first, check in, and then get the code from reception. There was only one electrical outlet by the bed, on one side.
