The staff were friendly, and you could tell they enjoy their work, which was infectious. Our group was happy with our weekend at Hotel Freizeit In, and I’d come back, including with children. There’s a lot to do: multiple Kegelbahnen, darts, a pub and bar, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and much more. The rooms are decent, though they’re no longer the most modern or the best. At night, we heard quite a bit of noise in our room, which sounded like water pipes, maybe in the walls. Parking is expensive, as is breakfast. At check-in they quoted a lower breakfast price than the one on the website, but it was still more than a decent bakery nearby.

The pool was the highlight for me, and breakfast was excellent, which isn’t surprising given how good the restaurant is. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed.

I slept really well in a very comfy bed. Breakfast was fresh and very nice, with everything from salmon to fruit, nuts, and cheese. The fitness facilities and pool were top notch, especially for someone who likes fitness and healthy food. If classic weight training is your priority, I recommend going upstairs in the fitness area.

The wellness area costs €10 to access, which is a great benefit, and the breakfast selection was great. My room was spacious, clean, and well designed. Some parts of the hotel are dated, though it seems they’ve invested adequately in other areas. The best thing about the hotel is its friendly, well-trained staff.

We came across this great hotel while driving through Germany. It’s conveniently close to the AutoBahn and offers amazing value, with impressive food and a great Pool/SPA area. There are also lots of electric vehicle charging points just outside reception. Highly recommend.
